We’re opening up the next stage of the project — and we’d love you to be part of it.

At The Scratch, we’ve been running short-form scriptwriting sessions, building a collection of scripts, fragments, and ideas. Now, we’re bringing them into the room.

We’re inviting actors, creatives, and anyone curious to help bring these scripts to life. This is low-pressure, low-commitment, and genuinely fun. You don’t need to learn lines or prepare — just turn up, pick a script, and read.

​

Some pieces are just a few lines. Some are short scenes. All are quick, playful, and easy to step into. You can simply read, or take it further if you want. Offer feedback, or just enjoy being in the room.

This isn’t about performing for an audience. It’s about creating a shared moment — writers hearing their work out loud, actors bringing words to life, and a group building something together.

 

It’s a chance to:

• Meet other actors and writers

• Explore new work in a relaxed, facilitated space

• Be part of a growing creative community

• Help shape scripts that may move into live events

And yes — if you take part, you’ll get a free drink at the bar.

More than anything, this is about being in the room. Reading, listening, playing — and helping something take shape.

If you’d like a script in advance, we can send one over — or you can just turn up and choose on the night.
